Civil Docket Search
With an individual's name or the name of a business, a
search can be conducted in any given court in the county
requested, to identify cases that an individual or business
was involved in as a plaintiff or defendant. Following
is a summary of the three civil court searches that can
be conducted: Federal
Civil Court Search:
This search covers a seven
year history and may provide docket numbers, case captions,
date of filing, cause of action and disposition or current
status on those cases involving federal law; such as
federal tax liens, civil rights actions, labor actions,
personal injury suits and suits involving contract issues.
Civil Lower
or Civil Upper Court Search: $50.00
This search checks one lower level court or one upper
level court, whichever you prefer, and may provide docket
numbers, case captions, cause of action and disposition
or current status information for those actions filed.
It should be noted that each county varies in regard
to what type of cases are maintained in their lower
and upper level courts.
